You might include modern or traditional wedding rituals, cultural or symbolic elements, or meaningful touches inspired by nature, family, or shared experiences.

THE PROCESS
From first hello to legal filing.
STEP 1
Free initial conversation
We talk about your hopes and dreams for your ceremony, who may be involved, and the elements that could be included. This also lets us get to know each other, ask questions, and share ideas.
STEP 2
Agreement and timeline
After the initial meeting, we sign an Agreement and establish a timeline. A 50% retainer is due with the signed Agreement.
STEP 3
Questionnaires and inspiration
I share ample examples and inspirations for each element of your ceremony, along with questionnaires to help me understand each of you and your relationship.
STEP 4
Story development and first draft
Together, through email exchange, I write and develop the first draft of your ceremony. Then we meet again to refine it.
STEP 5
Review and revisions
I make the changes and rewrites we’ve discussed and provide a second draft. Mostly through emails, we further refine your ceremony until it delights you.
STEP 6
Virtual rehearsal
Once you feel it is ready, we meet one more time to go through a virtual rehearsal, walking through all the elements together so we are comfortable.
STEP 7
Ceremony presentation and legal filing
You have complete say over all elements. I use my education and experience in writing, ritual, and ceremony creation to bring your vision alive—and handle the legal filing of your license.

I'll ask you why you chose your location to learn how it informs the ceremony. Here in the Midwest there are truly countless magical parks and venues — in the heart of the cities, in the woods, or by water. Perhaps your spot is a concert, a remote barn, on a boat or train, in a field, or at a festival. Each package includes travel within 30 minutes/miles; an additional fee applies beyond that.
