Hi, I’m Alphia Prpic, but please call me Fia.
I’m a certified Humanist Celebrant and professional wedding officiant who believes deeply in love, meaningful ceremony, and rituals that reflect who you truly are.
As a wedding Celebrant, I specialize in creating custom, non-religious and humanist wedding ceremonies that are personal, heartfelt, and unforgettable. Whether your style is romantic, joyful, playful, deeply intentional—or all of the above—I work closely with you to craft a personalized wedding ceremony that feels authentic for you and engaging for your guests.

I’ve been officiating weddings since 2017. In 2022, after decades as a writer, creative director, and non-religious spiritual seeker, I brought all of my experience together to serve couples and families full-time as a Celebrant.

My approach blends storytelling, ritual design, and deep listening. I hold a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing, am a Master Celebrant trained through the Celebrant Academy, and am endorsed by the Humanist Society and American Humanist Association. My background also includes spiritual direction (non-religious), Indigenous ritual studies, vulnerability and courage training, and holistic health studies—all of which inform how I create ceremonies that are inclusive, meaningful, and deeply human.

Couples often tell me they appreciate having a wedding officiant who truly listens, writes beautifully, and knows how to hold a room with warmth, presence, and ease. I don’t use templates or scripts. Every ceremony I create is one-of-a-kind, written specifically for you.
On a personal note, I bring my lived experience of love and family into this work. I’m the mother of four adult children, a YaYa to seven grandbabes, and a partner to Shawn for 38 years. I understand that love is something we choose again and again—and that makes it worthy of being honored with care and intention.

Getting to know you—your story, your values, and your vision—is the foundation of my work as a Humanist Celebrant and wedding officiant. I believe the most meaningful ceremonies begin with genuine connection, which is why I take time to truly listen and understand what you want this moment to reflect about your life, your love, or your family.

I listen closely to what you share and help you shape a custom, non-religious, humanist ceremony that feels authentic, intentional, and deeply personal. You won’t be handed a script or asked to fit into a template—your ceremony is written collaboratively, with care and purpose.
